To take incoming mail, I use netqmail, with these alterations: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=31137 which include TLS. Installation was a little grievous; I can't remember how I did it. Otherwise, it works well. Some documentation can be found at http://lifewithqmail.org To fetch my mail, I use dovecot. Installation was easy, and it works well and does TLS.
