If windows was totally unusable would it have succeeded in the way that it has? The web is the future of computing, that much is evident. You can hole yourself up in your little imaginary world where users don't matter, nobody actually gets paid, and the sole criteria for judging software systems lies in their strict adherence to a bunch vaguely articulated idealist principles.
