I have this problem too.Using the latest git dwm and st on arch linux with the xf86-video-intel driver.
After I quit using shift-alt-q it's completely frozen, can't even switch between consoles.
Could anyone give me some advice on how to debug this? I haven't found any good leads in logs. I would like to try to produce a fix but it's not something I'm experienced in.
