Sorry I do not understand how this is meant. Looking at the posix spec for chmod: https://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/9699919799/utilities/chmod.html only -R is listed there, so how do the -H, -L, and -P relate to POSIX compatibility? W. -- There are only two hard things in Computer Science: cache invalidation, naming things and off-by-one errors.
