Hi everyone, I'd like to open a DISCUSS thread for *SIP-174: Proposal for Guest User Attributes in Embedded Dashboards*.
This proposal addresses a significant limitation for users of Superset's embedded dashboards, particularly in multi-tenant or multi-department environments. It introduces a way to pass dynamic, user-specific attributes through guest tokens, which can then be used for filtering data via Jinja templating in dataset queries. This change will enable developers to implement granular, user-context-aware data filtering without relying on static RLS rules. This will greatly enhance the flexibility and security of embedded Superset applications.
