+1 (binding)

This is quite the whopper of a changelog for a new release candidate :O Took it 
out for a quick test run and looks good. The only thing that caught my eye is 
all the “feat" commits between rc1 and rc2. However, I assume they were needed 
to apply all the various MCP fixes that also landed after the cut. Also, MCP is 
still experimental, so not a major issue per se.

Anyway, looks good, let’s ship it! And this is a good reminder that doing 
frequent majors/minors helps finding bugs and leads to a more stable master 
branch.
