Hi all,

Bumping this thread, since it has had no replies on the list yet. Short
recap of where SIP-230 stands:

- SIP:
https://www.google.com/url?q=https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/44512&source=gmail&ust=1792604297037000&sa=E
- Reference PR:
https://www.google.com/url?q=https://github.com/apache/superset/pull/44499&source=gmail&ust=1792604297037000&sa=E
(just brought up to date with master; it is parked under hold:sip! until
this is settled)

Feedback so far has come in on the GitHub issue: one +1, plus a question on
whether this should be a config key rather than a feature flag. I agree it
is closer to a long-lived deployment policy than a rollout toggle, so I'm
happy to switch to a config key if that is the preferred direction. I used
a feature flag only because flags already reach the frontend without extra
plumbing.

Questions I'd especially like input on:
1. Feature flag vs. config key for REQUIRE_DOWNLOAD_REASON.
2. Recording the reason in the existing Action Log entry (no new table) -
any concerns?
3. Anything missing from the scope (Explore, dashboard charts,
dashboard-wide Excel, SQL Lab, scheduled reports)?

If there are no objections by Oct 28, I'll open the [VOTE] thread.

Thanks,
Seunggabi (seunggabi)
