Hiranya, I guess you can directly take a dependency on latest released commons-vfs artifacts and use the synapse patching mechanism to patch the commons-vfs lib with the custom changes that we need. So the commons-vfs patch will be a small maven module with just the patched classes using the released artifact as a compile time dependency and the synapse distribution build will need to copy that tiny patch into the patches directory of the synapse lib. WDYT?
OTOH, I know we tried to push this to commons-vfs without a success, but isn't it worth to try it once more? Otherwise we will have to live with this headache.
