Tushar Mishra commented on SYNCOPE-770:
---------------------------------------
Hello,
My name is Tushar Mishra and I am a third year student at the University of
Petroleum and Energy Studies, India. I was looking for an idea to work on for
the proposal of GSOC and I found this issue to be an apt option for me.
I have installed syncope using maven as described and I got everything working.
I am currently tinkering with the REST APIs and trying to integrate user login
into an Eclipse Plugin.
Although I am able to login as an admin to the syncope-console, I encountered a
problem while trying to login or sign up a normal user to the server. The
available users' passwords are stored as SHA1 hash in the DB and creation of
the user is somehow showing errors. Maybe I am doing something wrong? I have
posted a screenshot of the error and added the link below.

I hope you can help me out with this problem. I can also post this on the
mailing list if you wish so.
Thanks and Regards,
Tushar Mishra.

> Project: Syncope
> Issue Type: New Feature

>
> Develop plugin(s) for one or more popular open source IDEs (as Netbeans or
> Eclipse) with purpose of easing the extension of runtime configuration of
> Apache Syncope deployments.
> SYNCOPE-760 and SYNCOPE-761 introduced the possibility to dynamically reload
> mail templates (used by notifications) and report stylesheets; such objects
> are now exposed as REST entities.
> The idea is to enable IDEs with some kind of resource explorer providing
> access to such dynamic items, allowing to create, edit and remove them from
> within IDE, by connecting to a running Apache Syncope deployment.
> This item is being discussed at
> https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/SYNCOPE/GSOC+2016
