- Prevent stale, incomplete or misplaced topology layouts by persisting node positions and zoom in localStorage and rebuilding layouts when saved positions are missing or invalid. - Keep the topology responsive during connection checks by running checks in the background, with shared timeout handling, typed status messages and incremental status updates. - Add an integrated zoom slider and Ctrl+wheel support anchored to the viewport center.
