Robert J. Walker commented on TAPESTRY-1431:
--------------------------------------------
So are we saying here that the official solution for making your components
portable is to treat the renderTag attribute as if it were required, not
optional? Or are there plans to be able to specify a renderTag value at the
application or library level?
> Changing org.apache.tapestry.renderTags config property breaks Exception page

> The default value of org.apache.tapestry.renderTags is true in version 4.1.1.
> If you change it to false, the Exception page formatting is messed up. There
> should be a way to set renderTags to false at the application or library
> level *without* affecting the built-in Tapestry components or other
> libraries. Without this ability, changing the renderTags value is far less
> useful.
