Predicting release dates for open source projects is a perilous task.
Everything depends on the personal initiative of self-directed volunteers
working in their free time, which makes progress very bursty. Nevertheless, I
do think that 5.4 is more likely to be released in the early-to-mid part of
this year rather than later in the year.
