Abdullah, just a guess, but maybe you're using too old a version of Java?
Tapestry 5.4 requires JDK 1.6 or newer. Feel free to post a message on the
Tapestry Users mailing list - http://tapestry.apache.org/mailing-lists.html) if
it's something else.
