Hello, I closed tavmob#97 without merging since it was clearly just some spam. The other open ones I am not so sure about without either merging and testing or getting Sagar or someone else to comment. Eg Tavmob#68 looked like it was ready to merge but Sagar wanted the committer to use RxJava/Retrofit patterns in it. I probably wouldn’t mind so much. #93 looks like there is a library missing so it failed to build in travis.
I had a look at the TavLanguage thread to remind myself of the issue which contained this from you Stian (I think) “Although our use of Creative Commons should be allowed by Legal's resolved FAQ, we recognize that IPMC feelings are otherwise, so we'll have to recode to avoid including these schema files.” It’s not clear to me what the approach should be. Are you saying that legal think it is ok but the IPMC don’t? If so then shouldn’t legal and IPMC discuss this issue and get some clarity – did this happen? Then you mention “So do you think we need to look again at that idea of putting them in Taverna Extras on GitHub and then pull them down at build-time as Maven dependencies?“ Is this now the only option and if so what does it involve. Let’s just get it done. (I’ve got the feeling I starting looking into this but got distracted by reality). OK, Taverna PMC folks, it's crunch time. Could anyone help draft the report? The previous one is here: https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/a0490dbc2454c85ae385a5dc38835541f7b09859b2ca47c8bd54759d@%3Cdev.taverna.apache.org%3E Sagar/Ian: 6 open pull requests for Taverna Mobile: https://github.com/apache/incubator-taverna-mobile/pulls Shall we close or chase these? Can we roll a Mobile release now after GSOC contributions? https://taverna.incubator.apache.org/download/code/ shows a few other open pull request, I think most of those are abandoned, but then we need to close them. Do a dummy commit (e.g. whitespace change in README.md) on the corresponding git repository with "This closes #1337" to close that issue. Majdi has just contacted me saying he wants to do more work on the CWL support in Taverna Language. Majdi, could you fill in on your plan? License review: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/TAVERNADEV/2016-09+License+review I think this is mostly done, but there might be the odd XSD file here and there, or something that is Creative Commons-licensed, that is what blocked the latest Taverna Language release vote: https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/ce33070595757666241d8b60e0416c95ae11fa1e579a6866e650de40@%3Cdev.taverna.apache.org%3E Any effort welcome. -- Stian Soiland-Reyes https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9842-9718
