This was committed nearly half a year ago and the changes still reside in 
trunk. Yet, the actual gem has not been built and pushed to Rubygems.org. I 
realize that it is possible build it on my own and utilize it, but not updating 
it on Rubygems.org makes it difficult to create anything that depends on Thrift 
for the public.
