Andrew de Andrade commented on THRIFT-2423: ------------------------------------------- So maybe this is a naive question, but how will the information in THeader be exposed to the handler functions? And how are custom headers going to be set when establishing a connection? Without any code showing THeader in use in practice, it remains to be seen how it will be consumed. I've dug through the C++ source on djwatson's pull request and I think I might be able to implement THeaderProtocol and THeaderTransport, but I would need a reference implementation to test against. https://github.com/djwatson/thrift/commit/8ff57a0b89b1cfaaa5d11d9fbf2cf70466f7ab7c Sounds like Chi Vinh Le has a Go version and Jens Geyer has another version (I assume Java), so it looks like we're all waiting on the C++ one to be committed. > THeader > ------- > > Key: THRIFT-2423 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/THRIFT-2423 > Project: Thrift > Issue Type: Sub-task > Components: Build Process, C++ - Compiler, C++ - Library, Test Suite > Reporter: Roger Meier > Fix For: 1.0 > > > THeader seems to be a nice feature. > Is there some documentation available? -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
