Jens Geyer commented on THRIFT-3055:
------------------------------------

If asked what the logo should transport:
• Thrift is about connecting stuff ...
• ... easily and efficiently, ...
• ... eliminating any existing borders between languages and platforms.
• the last point could be rephrased as "building bridges between l+p"
+1

In my opinion it should be something that clearly promotes this "connecting" aspect of Thrift. But I would be fine with something

Yes, we need such a "connecting" aspect, other key words I had in mind:
- transport structured information
- across multiple roads(transports) and cultures(platforms)
- to any language

all the best!
-roger

completely different, eg. some animal like other Apache projects use it (eg the hadoop elephant) as well, so please don't let your creativity being stopped by me.
