Cott Lang commented on THRIFT-3639: ----------------------------------- I'm not intimately familiar with SslProtocols. Is it not possible to use: SslProtocols.Tls12 | SslProtocols.Tls11 | SslProtocols.Tls ... and allow TLS 1.0 - 1.2 without additional configuration? Making it complicated to be more secure is going to mean people will avoid being more secure. :) > C# Thrift library forces TLS 1.0, thwarting TLS 1.2 usage > --------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: THRIFT-3639 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/THRIFT-3639 > Project: Thrift > Issue Type: Bug > Components: C# - Library > Affects Versions: 0.9.3 > Reporter: Cott Lang > Assignee: Aki Sukegawa > Priority: Critical > > TTLSSocket.cs.setupTLS() uses SslProtocols.Tls, which forces TLS 1.0. I > suspect this was originally done to prevent SSLv2 from working against a > poorly configured server, but now prevents working against a TLS 1.2 server, > thus decreasing security. > Since PCI-DSS requires removing anything less than TLS 1.2 by June, this is a > critical issue for those of us working in that environment. > Thanks! -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
