The CMake build environment is not configured to produce DLLs for thrift, in fact it will error out if you ask it to make a shared library right now. I believe in all my projects so far I have used static libraries for thrift. Has anybody used thrift (runtime library for C++) as a DLL on Windows? Is there a demand for it? I was always under the impression that without declaring the __declspec(dllexport) stuff it would be hard to make. I believe you can just say, "export everything" though.
