FWIW, I'm in the final stages of implementing Rust support. I'll be sending out
a PR early in the new year. The backed (i.e. Rust client library) has already
been pushed to crates.io: https://crates.io/crates/rift All the code in rift
works and communicates properly with every client/server I've tested against.
It's (obviously) only the minimal set:
- compact protocol
- binary protocol
- buffered transport
- framed transport
- tcp streams
- single-threaded blocking tcp server
