Following this guide - https://thrift.apache.org/docs/BuildingFromSource - I
also had some troubles with make. But it looked like after a little debugging
and fine tuning it could work, it did build some of the modules. But even
though I had the flags to build (almost) all, many were skipped when running
make. And it exited with success... so maybe the configure scripts were wrong.
