[~jensg] thanks for jumping in!

[~icebob] I kindly tried to help out with this issue already back in May. I'm 
not particularly knowledgable with publishing NPM so I would need feedback 
before going any further steps. I've uploaded a snapshot of the current trunk 
with many issues fixed to 
https://www.npmjs.com/package/@biodataanalysis/thrift-trunk

If you could provide feedback if that package works for you and behaves like a 
"good NPM citizen" then I would feel comfortable to publish official thrift 
packages for releases and for current trunk every once in a while.

That is, unless anybody else volunteers :-) :-) :-)
