This is proposed by Facebook and accepted into thrift spec, so it's not
"Facebook only".
It's implemented in cpp, py, and go. I don't think it's anything "pressured" to
implement in other libraries, we usually just encourage whoever want this in
their choice of language just implement it and send in the PR. But we do should
keep the issue open.
