Thanks for the clarification.

Today I have done the following, to close this out. Should all be a 
no-op as far as you are all concerned.

1. Added a README to the cms-site branch in SVN, pointing folks to Github.
2. Made your entire SVN area read only.
3. Removed an entry in Buildbot 'cms.conf' file so it no longer builds on the 
CMS
4. Removed cms.apache.org/thrift site source content
5. Removed cms production content area at [1]
