Hi,

The real (and a bit unfortunate) answer is: We do a release when somene decides to work on it.

In the past we had some dicussions about how often to release and most people were in favour of 3 to 4 releases per year IIRC, but actually it turned out not so many people actually want to do the grunt work associated with it. These are just the facts, no valuation. At the end it's all voluntary work. So the real release frequency is a bit "erratic".

Speaking about that, I will most likely prepare a branch in January to be released in February (given I can spare the time of course).

Have fun,
JensG

The current cadence is one release every year, I believe. It used to happen
towards the end of the year, but since last year we changed it to after
summer (around September).

Hi Jens,
Thanks for merging the partial deserialization support pull request. I am
wondering when that support will be publicly available. Is there a regular
cadence at which releases are published?
