Meson build system support has already been added to the following Apache
projects:
* Arrow
* arrow-adbc
* arrow-nanoarrow
* orc
And there is an open PR to add to iceberg-cpp
It would be great if Thrift also had a Meson configuration, particularly
because it is used by Apache Arrow.
I am happy to contribute and maintain the configurations as long as there are
no objections
