I recently tried to be smart and added ThreadLocal for some date parsing in the
new, experimental SAXParsers for pptx and docx.
After looking at [POI
59805|https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=59805] and its pointer to
[stackoverflow|https://stackoverflow.com/questions/17968803/threadlocal-memory-leak],
I think it better to get rid of ThreadLocal.
