Y, Tika doesn't currently maintain table format because tables aren't stored as
such in PDFs. You have to apply some serious math to figure out 1) where a
table is and 2) where the columns are, etc.
Have you tried [TabulaPDF|http://tabula.technology/]? See also the
[ContentMine|http://contentmine.org/]'s recent work with tables
([twitter|https://twitter.com/petermurrayrust/status/823450517212905472]).
To attach a file, did you go to More->Attach Files?
