Luis Filipe Nassif commented on TIKA-2603:
------------------------------------------

Currently I have a parser via sevenzipjbinding, it handles iso9660, UDF, deb,
cab, rpm, wim... But it is LGPL and use native libs.

Do you know an Apache compatible lib that handles iso, UDF? That would be great.

> I would like to discuss whether it makes sense or not to extract ISO9660
> Images within Apache TIKA.
> The mimetype application/x-iso9660-image was added more than 5 years ago (see
> TIKA-900), but the current tika-app does not even try to read the content of
> iso images.
> There are several 3rd party libraries out there that can read .iso content
> and extract it.
> One of them should fit the Apache License 2.0?
> Is there already a build in extraction mechanism in VFS or is VFS still using
> 3rd Party libraries?
> Did I miss something?
> Would this be worth a try or would this be to expensive in view of memory?
