In Gremlin-Java, those methods do the following:
```
public static <A> GraphTraversal<A, A> start() {
return new DefaultGraphTraversal<>();
}
public static <A> GraphTraversal<A, A> __(final A... starts) {
return inject(starts);
}
```
Perhaps just hardcode those methods in Python `__` to do the analogous
behavior.
Also can you add some test cases?
