Do you have any thoughts as to why serialization of `Optional` got slower? that seems really strange and makes me wonder what else got slower as a result of this change. I do really like the fact that GraphSON got faster though, but without some explanation and further testing I'm not sure what we really have here. Is there anything else you can do to help clarify your results and better support the theory of this PR?
