Hi everyone,

I’d like to announce that post-release tasks are complete, and code freeze is
now lifted in 3.7-dev. 3.6-dev has not yet been re-opened, I will be posting a
follow-up DISCUSS thread regarding the future of 3.6.x shortly.

Thanks,
Cole

Hey everyone,

It looks like all JIRAs which were marked as blockers have now been closed. I
would like to call the start of a 7 day code freeze on both 3.6-dev and
3.7-dev. I intend to publish the final snapshot versions of the docs and the
Java artifacts tomorrow morning.

Please take this time to review the documentation (and especially the upgrade
docs) and conduct any final testing needed prior to the release. Minor bug
fixes and docs updates can still be merged during this time.

Thanks,
Cole

There have definitely been a lot of good bug fixes and improvements
contributed over the past few months. I would agree we are due for another
release. One thing to note is I'd like to get the future roadmap sorted and
updated so it's published with this release, so I'm looking to have a PR
opened for that early next week.

Thanks Cole!
