Resolution: Won't Do
unless we plan to put {{Element}} back on a property, i don't think this can be
done. we could do tricky things with strategy rewrites (e.g convert to
{[as('x').select('x')}}) or enable path tracking but these approaches are
brittle. not worth keeping this one open right now imo
