Dylan Millikin commented on TINKERPOP3-698:
-------------------------------------------
Thanks for the info, it indeed works after reconfiguring
{{gremlin.tinkergraph.vertexIdManager}} to use {{INTEGER}}. Also it seems like
it's already pretty well documented here:
http://tinkerpop.incubator.apache.org/docs/3.0.0-SNAPSHOT/#_configuration
Is this something we can force programmatically? Our ORM/OGM layer that I'm
currently testing against M9 now treats IDs as strings. It's an extension for a
framework and ideally I would like to make it work out of the box without
having to ask users to reconfigure gremlin-server.

> I'm using gremlin-server & gremlin-console M9-RC3 for this. (I added "server"
> as a component though it might not be related)
> Essentially it doesn't seem like anything other than g.V(1, 2) works. Any
> variation of ID ({{g.V(1L, 2L)}}, {{g.V("1", "2")}}) results in the following
> error (end of post)
> This seems to work ok in titan though.
> You can recreate the issue by running {{bin/gremlin-server
> conf/gremlin-server-classic.yaml}} then doing:

> bin/gremlin.sh
