Hello Pieter, This will not happen for 3.1.0. I would like to see this in 3.2.0. Note that there its NOT going to be some "massive drastic" change to the steps as we have them now. What I would like to have happen is a full review of each step and ask ourselves: "Is this just a that." I would like to see a small, concise instruction set. For instance, why are SumStep, MaxStep, MinStep, etc. all individual steps? Can we make GroupCountStep just an instance of GroupStep? Is PathStep just SelectStep in some fashion? This with some final organization of the packages and that will be the virtual machine instruction set for Gremlin.
