The fix for bug 43548 in Tomcat 7.0.96 [1] that added a reference to
tomcat-users.xsd schema to the default tomcat-users.xml file is incomplete:
The file conf/tomcat-users.xsd is missing from binary packages of a Tomcat
release build.
- The file is missing from any of binary packages:
apache-tomcat-7.0.96.zip
apache-tomcat-7.0.96-windows-x64.zip
apache-tomcat-7.0.96-windows-x86.zip
apache-tomcat-7.0.96.tar.gz
- The file is not installed by the installer for Microsoft Windows
apache-tomcat-7.0.96.exe
WORKAROUND
The schema file is present in source packages (in both of .zip and .tar.gz
ones, so that it can be taken from there.
