I'm sure infra would be happy to if you would prefer this. I'm assuming the (this might be news to you) was news to you, but this struck me as altogether absurd. I thought everyone grokked why tomcat created the /dev/dist/ in the first place, and I thought everyone at tomcat was altogether with-it now on what constitutes a release.
