According to the bug report, it required 1.1.10, and Tomcat failed to
start with 1.1.8.

In that case this is the bug in Tomcat, cause required
version should be 1.1.10 not 1.1.8 then.

Anyhow, the point is to have Tomcat Native as part of
Tomcat release.
If for example we find a bug that would require a
new version of Tomcat native, then 5.5.x and 6.0.x
should be released as well with required version matching that.

That is why I'm not in favor of having separate releases
of the Tomcat Native, because we use the so called
releases *only* to be able to build with ant more easily.
Ideally the build.xml should build the binaries as well,
and that's not going to happen in the near future :)
