Hey, everyone!

I'm posting this super early because, honestly, it's been 12 days since anyone posted anything on users@ and I keep checking lists.a.o to see if it's a ME-problem or if everyone is just taking the second half of April off. I guess everyone is just asleep.

The Community Over Code Conference will be held in Glasgow in October, and I would encourage everyone to come, especially if you've never been to an ApacheC.. er, Community Over Code in the past, or if you live nearby, or, I guess, if the conference tracks sound interesting, I guess. :)

The conference schedule isn't posted yet -- we are putting the last touches on the tracks and talks -- but it's never too early to ask your employer to sponsor your travel.

The site has the details of when and where. The "what" will be largely filled-in later, but you can see "past sessions" for a taste of what you can expect at one of these conferences.

I know that I'll be there along with a bunch of the committers who post regularly on the Tomcat mailing lists. We typically host a "BoF" (Birds of a Feather) session one evening where we get together to talk to the community about their wants, desires, and, usually, drink preferences.

Remember, if you live on the US West coast that even though the time change is a brutal 8 hours, at least the flight goes right over the north pole so it's not so bad. :)

I'll reply again as soon as the tracks and sessions have posted.

I hope to see you all there,
-chris
