Hi all,
We will be holding a one day, invitation only security event on
2026-10-15, the day after Community Over Code EU in Glasgow. The venue
is Glasgow Training Rooms which is a short (<15 min) walk from the CoC
venue.
This event is invitation only. All Tomcat committers are invited. Please
update this wiki page [1] to let us know if you would like to attend.
If there is anyone else you would like to invite, please start a
discussion on the private@ mailing list.
The event is being funded by Google who generously provided $5k to the
Tomcat project to help improve security and HeroDevs who have donated
$15k to the project.
The agenda for the day is still being discussed. Watch the dev@ list
and/or the Wiki page for updates. Suggestions for agenda items welcome.
To assist those attending this event with costs, we will use the donated
funds to fund one additional night stay at the CoC hotel for each
attendee. We also aim to provide food for attendees during the security
event.
With the addition of the HeroDevs funding we also have the ability to
help with travel costs for those Tomcat committers who could not
otherwise make the event. If you would like to request such funding
please reach out to me directly or via the private@ list.
