Bug ID: 70287
Summary: keepAliveTimeout not applied after asynchronously
completed sendfile
Product: Tomcat 11
Version: 11.0.26
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Connectors
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: -------
When an HTTP response is sent with sendfile and the transfer does not finish
inline, the
connection is kept alive but waits for the next request with
`connectionTimeout` instead of
`keepAliveTimeout`. With `connectionTimeout="5000"` and
`keepAliveTimeout="30000"`, the idle
connection is closed 5 seconds after the request was read, not 30 seconds after
the response.
Responses that do not use sendfile, or whose sendfile completes inline, behave
correctly.
I have attached a zip file with reproduction example and proof of concept of a
possible fix.
