Running Tomcat with o.a.c.startup.Catalina using a SecurityManager would still be broken. As of now, I do not know, whether and how to fix that. Suggestions from other Tomcat committers are welcome. I committed both the patches that fix NoClassDefFoundError issue into trunk, and will propose them for tc6.0.x As of now, the trunk does not run with SecurityManager, apparently because of servlet 3.0 classes.
