Remy Maucherat <r...@apache.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |WONTFIX --- Comment #3 from Remy Maucherat <r...@apache.org> 2010-01-21 16:30:13 UTC --- Ok, this is not standards compliant (esp the IE solution, which can be any encoding, and is unlikely to be UTF-8). The right behavior is to use the default HTTP encoding. You should be able configure your own custom basic authenticator to implement what you need, which would allow you to support the proprietary behavior of your client. So it does not make sense to me to include support for this. -- Configure bugmail: https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@tomcat.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@tomcat.apache.org
