I think the above quoted comment was just a typo, but it might be better to clarify: VERIFIED means that the *resolution* has been confirmed by OP or by QA person. A "confirmed bug" term just sounds like a synonym for "confirmed problem". It is not what should be meant here. Here are docs: https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/page.cgi?id=fields.html#status I think there is no much sense in having VERIFIED bugs in our weekly reports, but it is just a reminder that they have to be promoted to CLOSED, like Mark did.
