I thought it was a right place to be, since disable server signature is a global feature (like using in all Tomcat servers running in production). Something like anywhere inside server.xml a single attribute serverSignature="false" could call ErrorReportValve.setShowServerInfo(false); Could you give me some hints to code it so I could submit a patch ?
