Great that you have had success using TomEE 1.7.1 - There are some
significant dependency updates and performance improvements in the
latest versions, and also many bug fixes.

And for 1.7.2 here: http://tomee.apache.org/tomee-1.7.2-release-notes.html
I would suggest going straight to the 1.7.3 version.
