Hi guys, quick - really overdue - follow up on docker thanks to Otavio mail (mainly small 3 points):
1. We have an apache account on docker https://hub.docker.com/r/apache/, I wonder if we want to publish it here with the ASF stamp (on hub, not sure we want to do it on the store)? 2. Also I reviewed the community images some months ago - for some task at work - and realized we had a lot of good community images like jelastic ones which was even published with openj9. Do we want to do the same if we publish as ASF, ie include more jre? 3. Current naming is not aligned on Tomcat, ie include our complete version, jvm version and os version, is it something we would want (think so)? In terms of process if we want to have ASF images we need to create a ticket on INFRA and do a few updates to have deploys from tags (see https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-13838 for a sample). Once we have ASF images we should probably add some love on our doc (like adding a docker page where we explain how 1. to use it and 2. use it with a multistage image to be closer to the prod). We can also probably recommand an image cause with the generation which is generally done it is hard for a new user to pick one not randomly. Wdyt? Anyone interested in working on that or some aspects?
