All,

I've opened a request to have the code we've been using to run the former Java
EE TCK opened so everyone can run the new Jakarta EE TCK.

The history here is that the Java EE TCK was proprietary with significant
access/usage restrictions and severe language against publicly sharing the
results. With these restrictions gone, we can now finally open up the harness
so people can run the TCK on their machines and start the work to help TomEE
become Jakarta EE 8 certified.

Stay tuned.

Once this is opened, there'll be a lot of work to move documentation to where
it needs to be and organize the community as a whole.

As a side note, I can promise you this will be one of the great trills of your
life. As I said in this email from Oct 4th 2011, the day TomEE was announced
as a certified server, "Don't take it for granted because you never know if or
when it might happen again."

It would take a book to describe the battles that had to be fought for years to
line up the stars for this day and this opportunity to come again. We are
nothing if not extremely tough, extremely passionate and unyielding. We never
give up. We value each other and every contribution and therefore we can
create the unimaginable and even surprise ourselves.

I am so thrilled we're all standing here in 2018 with an open source TCK and
the biggest community we've ever had and we get to do it again, together, even
bigger and better than before.

We are going to have the time of our lives, all 40+ of us .. and growing :)

The world won't know what hit it. Let's do this! :)
