Hi all,

It's been a hard and long journey, but we are there.

We implemented the last MicroProfile specification and we now pass the full
suite for MicroProfile 5.0.

We have successfully moved the TomEE server from javax to jakarta to
support Jakarta EE 9.1. So far, we are 12 tests down from that goal. But
the build is fully fixed and stable now.

I'm wondering before we claim it final, can we do a release candidate. It
gives us the ability to collect some user feedback. We can also start
filling MicroProfile compatibility requirements so we can be listed as a
compatible implementation.

My view is that we could create the final before Christmas as a gift and
move straight to TomEE 10 for Jakarta EE 10. The jump from an end user
point of view will be small, and maybe even invisible. Most of the work
will be on the TCK setup to rethink and redo. The rest is small in terms of
implementation. We should also be able to not only be Web Profile
certified, but maybe full platform compatible.

We could also move to MicroProfile 6.0 as now the gap is small. But I'll
probably write another email for this.

Thoughts?
