As I understand it, the idea is to get more and better defined packages and the ability to rebuild only parts of them. Whether the code to build the packages comes from a single repository or not doesn't make a difference, so keeping one repository obviously is fine. But it should be possible to download only parts of the whole OOo source and build only the parts you want.
